ISABELLA IANNUZZI

Mind Over Movement is a deeply personal community service initiative born from my own journey of overcoming years of negative self-talk, self-doubt, and the weight of being surrounded by individuals who continually crushed my confidence throughout my childhood and formative teen years.
During those pivotal years, I absorbed negativity from peers, mentors, and coaches who should have uplifted and guided me, yet instead contributed to feelings of inadequacy and fear. I was shaped by people beyond my family—voices that didn’t always have my best interests at heart.
During those critical years, I developed repetitive self-defeating habits and fell into cycles of comparison that intensified social anxiety and insecurity. But through time, reflection, and growth, I learned that mental health is not just about surviving—it’s about reclaiming your voice, reshaping your mindset, and choosing to rise above the noise.

By sharing my experience and encouraging open, honest conversation, I hope to break the stigma, promote self-compassion, and remind others that true healing begins in the mind. As Miss Greenville County, my mission is to empower individuals to rewrite their inner dialogue, build resilience, and know that they are never alone on their journey.
Mind Over Movement was created from this realization—dedicated to spreading mental health awareness throughout the community, with a specific focus on athletes and artists who often face immense internal and external pressures.

"What stands out most about Isabella is the authenticity behind her mission.
Mind Over Movement is not simply a project—it is a reflection of her lived experience and personal growth. Rather than allowing those experiences to define her, she has transformed them into a platform that empowers others to build confidence, develop resilience, and reshape their internal dialogue."
